Templo Diez is een Haagse collectief, gegroepeerd rond de Franse liedjessmid Pascal Hallibert. De CD Hoboken bevat negen stemmige songs met een donkere countrysfeer. De zachte opgenomen liedjes klinken als en soundtrack voor een roadmovie. Dat idee wordt versterkt doordat de nummers steeds anders klinken, zonder aan homogeniteit in te boeten. De songs roepen een desolaat gevoel op door de veelvuldig gebruikte badkamergalm, terwijl de nummers door verschillende opnametechnieken en bijgeluiden steeds op een andere plek voor de luisteraar openbreken. Templo Diez is a collective from the Hague, Netherlands, built around French songwriter Pascal Hallibert. Hoboken presents 9 solemn songs with a dark country atmosphere. Sensitively recorded, the songs sound as a roadmovie soundtrack, this idea being reinforced by the fact that all tracks sound different without compromising the homogeneity of the whole record. Through the multiple use of reverb, the tracks conjure up a desolate feeling, and thanks to different recording techniques and sampling effects, they open renewed landscapes to the listener.
